Brass machine screw
The most common screw head type -- used for general fastening when the screw head will be flush with the surface or when it will be countersunk and the hole will be plugged.
Many boatbuilders especially ones with traditional old school tendencies prefer a Brass machine screw. Brass offers great corrosion resistance and along with the slot drive provides the classic look of traditional boatbuilding. Remember Brass is soft and requires a carefully sized pilot hole. Our Flat head machine screws have a standard 82 degree countersink design.
